Any regrets? I'm so close to buying

Long story short I've been going back and forth on pulling the trigger on a 2012-2013 used SRT-8. I made the mistake of test driving one this morning. Love at first throttle punch. I can not believe the low end torque in these monsters. I've never felt that kind of sensation. Long story short I'm just not sure I want a payment north of $700 with a 3 week old newborn. Can I afford it? Yes. Comfortably. I've just never had a car payment that large before and it kinda scares me. But GOD do I love these trucks. The ride home made my 3.6L feel like a golf cart. The dealer tried talking me into a 2014 hemi. Which I also drove. WOW that things moves as well. But I told them if I'm bumping my payment up, the car will say SRT on the back. My SRT would be a daily driver for the most part. My wife has a 2013 chevy malibu eco so I can let the SRT sit in the garage a few days a week when I'm sick of the MPG (my daily commute is 45 miles round trip). Have any of you SRT owners ever thought to yourself "Why am I paying so much for this? The initial fun wears off?" I have a lead foot and its hard to imagine getting sick of a 470hp truck. Thoughts? Opinions?

Re: Any regrets? I'm so close to buying

Forgot to mention I'm looking at the 2012. I have not driven the 2013 SRT. The 12 seemed to shift really hard and fast 1st gear.

No regrets.

It's comfortable, my kids fit in the back in their car seats with plenty of space, I could go on and on. I waited for the '14 for the 8-speed and the UConnect tech, and am extremely pleased that I did so.

<-- it.

Well I decided you only live once...Pulling the trigger. My dealer has a choice of Black or Mineral Gray SRTS. Both within 300 miles on the odometer. I'm so excited. My current WK2 is max steel. I love it but I love the sleek stealth look of black and I've never owned black car. Even though most people will tell me what a pain in the butt it is to take care of hahah. The mineral Gray is so sharp on these trucks too. Decisions decisions. I will post pics soon. Thinking I will drive out there and take delivery Saturday.

No buyers remorse here. Like the saying goes, work hard play hard. Love every second of driving it.

I've owned 2 black vehicles. They are tough to keep clean. They are worth it if you have the time. Although they are he hardest to keep clean, the are the best looking when they are clean.

Funny you should ask. I've had a 2013 Summit for a few months and my only regret is not getting the SRT8. Go get it. And go Hawks
