Re: Anyone tried these two products to clean Chrome wheels ?

This has been a good way to clean my chrome wheels :

Products used :
  • Viking 862600 Red and Black Premium Metal Free Wheel and Rim Wand
  • Griot's Garage 15704 Micro Fiber Wheel Wand, (Pack of 2)
  • Bucket of Water + Dishwasher soap

Dishwashing soap is Typically pretty strong and can strip off any sealants/wax that you may have put on the wheels. I would recommend the use of a dedicated automotive shampoo.

I don't normally use any sealants or wax actually. As long as it doesn't damage the chrome, I'm not very worried about it. But what makes it pretty strong ? Any particular chemicals that I should keep a look out for ?

I'm not sure what is in it but i do know that it will strip and wax/sealants off of the paint if you use it to wash the car.
