Re: Attn SRT: WK3 Wish List

OK, let an Aussie get this thread back on track lol.

Exterior:
1. SRT hit the nail on the head with the factory hood. Please keep this concept alive. Classy yet aggressive. No childish scoops like the old Charger SRT8 hood. Deep vents, slight bulge, possible louvers. No louvres, creates a boy racer look.
2. Possible center exhaust option if tow package not selected Been there, lets not go backwards.
3. Factory 21" light-weight forged wheels Dunno about USA, but here 22" is a more common size (perhaps as an option?)
4. Follow the same logic as with the 2014 refresh. i.e. more differences from the standard Jeep. With the 12-13s I can't tell the difference from an overland until I am very close. The '14s have unique tail lights which make it easier to spot Agree.
5. 200-400lbs of weight reduction Agree.
6. Power folding mirrors on all models We already have them in Aus, but would be good to auto fold when you lock the car.
7. Remove "recessed" Jeep badge in favour of stick on badge like on the hood (so we can remove them) OR.... use SRT badges instead!

Interior
1. No more microfiber inserts in seats. Use all Napa leather. Keep the carbon fiber. Add real Alcantara to the headliners/pillars on all SRT Jeeps, and real Alcantara to the doors and parts of the steering wheel Agree, but expensive.
2. Keep the same amount of leather and stitching. It's beautiful Agree.
3. 2-tone interior options (Red, Silver/white, Blue accents). Speaking for myself, Red or Blue interiors look kinda cheap (just my opinion)
4. Add more storage - under seats for example.

Everything Else
1. Only one engine option! This is the SRT. There is no room for 2 models. The only option is the 6.4L Hellcat, 550HP MINIMUM Agree. How much extra would a S/C cost though?
2. Louder factory exhaust Bi Modal is the way to go. Google it lol.
3. Factory support for tuning To what degree..... they have to protect the warranty. I say leave it to aftermarket tuners.
4. $75k loaded (not including blue-ray) Under $95k here in Aus. Over $100k and you'll lose heaps of sales.
5. SRT specific dealers (or sections of a dealer). Staff that know the product and have had SRT training (send Raplh over here for a working holiday ). Here in Aus we the customer know more about the SRT than ANY dealer.

Things that I'd like but will probably drive up the cost unnecessarily:
1. Sport air suspension like on the Cayenne Turbo Handy but i can live without it.
2. More leather covered parts Like the top of the interior door trim, get rid of the hard plastics.
3. Large Pano Sunroof that opens all the way to the back. Agree, have a look at a Range Rover Evoque (although theirs doesnt open lol)
4. Remote start for our market PLEASE. Delete the dinosaur CD player!

Re: Attn SRT: WK3 Wish List

^ Good post

My reasoning:

- 21s. A little extra size will help but we don't what too much rotating mass. I've yet to see a performance vehicle with 22s. Porsche Cayenne Turbo has 21s and they seem to be the perfect compromise.

- Two-tone interior. What I had in mind was this direction, but more subtle: https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/i...MVI6LGUTblkOGB Not solid color seats. Instead different color stitching, door bolsters, etc.

6.2L Hellcat shouldn't add too much. The more SRT vehicles they place it in the more the cost is spread it. IMO they should put the 6.2L SC in Challenger, 300, Charger, and Jeep. In addition, the Jeep has the highest torque variant of the ZF 8 speed out of the entire chrysler line-up, that includes the trucks. From what I've read it can more than handle the Hellcat. So no cost there.

Factory support for tuning. All I am asking is they treat us like GM and Ford treat their customers. That is work with aftermarket companies to give them access to the code so we can fully tune our vehicles. Lack of tuning has killed the Viper market since 2008.

Re: Attn SRT: WK3 Wish List

The platform is Jeep. I think it should be 5000 lbs. In competition who doesn't lighten their vehicle. On the street and off road this is a good weight range.
I personally am impressed they built the 5.7 in cast iron for the SRT though should have
been a stroked 426 with the exact same heads in cast iron. I am not a fan of mounting aluminum to cast iron due to heat expansion differences damaging the gasket over time.

It should have direct injection.

It should have higher compression, by a piston swap.
Max on premium 94 octane per summit racing is 11.9:1. I would like to see 11.4? The electronics have been adjusting timing per spark knock for years now.

Inner fender well material? What's with this stuff. Looks like head liner that mud, ice and snow will stick to and does not look as if it will last. Should be a plastic with oil built in to prevent stuff from sticking to it.

The shifter should have the ability to change just as the paddles.

The adjustable shocks should have an old lincoln comfy mode as well as the settings it currently has.

The hood vents should be color painted. Dred that black plastic turning grey.

And of course, a matching 5th well for the spare. Should not be full size with tow package only. Every one should have 5. Not like it's not being paid for.

Optional equipment should include an exhaust cut out that exits before the rear tires
with tips similar to the g55. Selectable from a hard switch. Not a remote, not through the touch panel.

Just my thoughts. I guess I am well over 100 dollars in my wish list but I'd pay a little more to have this.

The 800lbs was tribute to the coal burner they removed!!

Re: Attn SRT: WK3 Wish List

In keeping with Chrysler's idea of SRT being its own brand, please remove all Jeep badging from the vehicle. Grand Cherokee is fine. SRT is fine. No more Jeep logos (i.e. those stupid Jeep floor mats, wheel center caps, door sills, etc). Same goes for all the SRT vehicles. That's a small thing I hope to see, even for 2015.

The fender material is there to keep road noise down and is used in a LOT of vehicles today. I've found that most everything sprays right off of it with a hose...

Agree on having a 'soft' mode on the suspension, there are times when I'd use that.

Give me the option for the Viper's Shadow Blue Pearl please!!!

And I think we can all agree - Hellcat. Too keep up with the others they are going to have to increase the power. I fully think that they will offer it eventually, but it is going to be a special edition that is going to cost more than I'm willing to spend. *strictly my opinion here

The RR is 550 hp...lost 800 pounds and costs double an SRT and I'll still smoke it's ass. The RR sport is supercharged and still can't keep up with the archaic 6.4....
THANK YOU Scott!!!

But watch out he knows all about herding dogs and has friends in Ireland and Scotland that go to herding trials with their collies and they all have Range Rovers so that is why they are so much better.

How about a package like the super bee for the charger? One that knocks 5 to 10k off the price that is bare bones, just a performance model. When the srt8 came out it was the same price as a overland (so I've read). I know they have came a long ways since then with the technology, but I want something a littke closer to my price range, say 50k or so.

Buy a used SRT then.

I picked my 12 up for 45k with 24k miles on it.

I think the last thing I would want to do is buy a used performance vehicle. Unless I knew it wasn't abused by the previous owner... of course there are always extended warranties but the thought of what could go wrong will always be in the back of my mind.
