Aussie SRT8's

Anybody noticed the abundance of my13 SRT8's on the market in the past fortnight, I counted 36. Lots of Vapours and Alpines, still fetching good money with the exception of an Alpine in NT, 80k, drive away, bargain!, if it can be believed. Is this perhaps the reason they have not launched the my14 yet...nor willing to disclose any details......hmmmm.....interesting!!!

Re: Aussie SRT8's

What will be more interesting is the price of MY13's when the MY14's DO come out?

Will there be a raft of '13 owners dumping their cars to get the '14 with the 8spd?

Re: Aussie SRT8's

Will be interesting, there might be a few bargains to be had for those wanting to buy a my13, which is still an awesome beast. My guess is what we see for sale on the net are canned orders as a result of the my14's. I just want mine NOW!!!!!!

Re: Aussie SRT8's

I think i read a post by Milous that 135 my13's were built for oz last year, that means 32% are in the market yet to find owners.

Re: Aussie SRT8's

Some of those were used cars though (maybe 2 or 3).

Re: Aussie SRT8's

I wouldnt bet on all those SRT's actually still being for sale or available. Dealers here in the states fail to remove sold vehicles for months and also advertise vehicles they dont have. Kind of a bait and switch tactic. I know....I was looking for an SRT late last summer and quite a few I called about "were just sold" LOL. I would say about half of the SRt's I called a dealer about were actually available.

A fair few of them advertised look to be demos or 'company' vehicles with KM's on them... But you are right, so many advertised now. Not many dealers had them advertised online previously as they were trying to hold up the asking price. Now that MY14 is coming, they are putting existing MY13's on carsales.

More evidence to suggest the distributor is going slow on 2014 orders to move the old stock.

We could be waiting till Q4 for 2014 cars !!! Arghhhh

Slowly but surely they are currently building/shipping SRTs for Australia. A few will arrive next month, but it will probably be a few months at least until ample stock is available.
