Re: Best CAI for the SRT in a very hot Climate ?

Thanks for replying guys, and sorry for the confusion Jerzjunior !!

I will ask for more details later on, but not sure if he will share them due to privacy concerns. But I can assume that they were installed incorrectly, since I asked around locally and anyone with a CAI told me that they installed it manually or their friend did it for them ( which is the main reason I want to use a garage ).

So you guys think a CAI will not benefit me in this climate ? I really want to know what harm would I be doing if I got one anyway. It IS sandy from time to time, yes, but I can always clean the air filter after a rough day right ?

You can prolong the filter life with a pre filter. Its a water resistant sock that goes over the filter. It will stop larger particals like sand and is easily rinsed off. I run one and im happy with it.

Wouldn't that restrict air flow to some degree though ?

In my opinion because of your strict warranty constraints and environment the injen would be my only suggestion.

Bwoody is definitely out of the question since it removes/replaces stock parts. The injen is the only with heat shield...

I would be very curious what type of damage the in men caused... Or any intake for that matter

Thank you for replying. It seems like Injen is a very good choice. I will bring it up with my service advisor and find out what happened exactly. It's a dry CAI, not oil based, right ?

Re: Best CAI for the SRT in a very hot Climate ?

Can someone post a link to a reliable vendor that sells INJEN CAI for the 2014 JEEP SRT with that anti-debris mesh cover ?
