Re: Best GPS and auto SMS tracker
I'm sorry if I come off as obstinate as it's not my intention but; under what context are you concerned your vehicle will be stolen? Unless you're leaving it running with the fob in it, or worried about someone within your home taking your keys, I'm not sure how else it would be stolen.
Things have come a long way since the issues that plagued many Chrysler products in the early 2000's with regard to theft through defeat of ignition. I think you would be very hard pressed to find many, if any incidents of current model Jeeps stolen WITHOUT keys.
Those instances that all you Google ninjas may discover likely have far more to the story as to the context in which the Jeeps were "stolen". Maybe more people on the forum can comment with their personal experience.
As for OBD type GPS', they're pretty simple to use and the only real install is the time it would take you to plug the device into the port...which would be quite obvious if stolen by a thief savvy enough to activate your vehicle without fob. I have used these before as well a host of other GPS devices. Keep in mind though, if Dom Toretto and his sophisticated band of thieves strike, a simple GPS jammer could defeat any GPS tracking device.
If nothing else, free bump for someone else to help.
