Blacking out window chrome in Denver

Need help from anyone in the Denver area finding a wrapper or painter who can handle blacking out the chrome side window trim on my '15 SRT.

So far, I've tried Lynx Customs and they couldn't wrap it (the curved section on the rear quarter gave them fits). Called a few others that popped up on Google searches with no luck. I've seen a few properly blacked out 14/15 JGC SRTs around town so someone in the area is getting this done professionally, just need to know who to give my money to!

THX!

I had mine done in black chrome to match the wheels. Extreme Autoworks off of Colfax.

Hey guys! I am just outside of Denver and was interested in getting an SRT. Where did you guys get yours? Centennial? MedVed? Autonation? What kind of deals did you get? Just curious because I am wanting to lock it down within the next 3 weeks.

Re: Blacking out window chrome in Denver

Russell,

First congratulations on your decision to be awesome.

I really like Autonation Broadway and my SRT is my 4th car from that dealer. My situation was unique because I got one that had some minor hail damage on one side that had been repaired without paint which ended up saving me $6500 off MSRP, plus I just had good timing on the transaction - end of month with big incentives going to the sales guys that day if they sold 24 units on the day. The paint is flawless so this was a great deal. Last time I was there they had a Red Vapor with hail damage along with at least one pristine black SRT.

Good luck and remember: you wait, you lose.

I got it done about a year ago... and it's been very durable... no issues. Same guys did my window tint and clear bra.

Russell... I got mine at Centennial. At the time, they had 6 on hand. Funny though... they had a $10K mark up. I pulled up the "True Car" quote on my phone and told them this was more like it... $3K under invoice. They didn't blink... I drove off with the car that day... a $13K swing.

I looked at their inventory before I went to the dealer... it was obvious that they wanted to move them.

Embrace the chrome. Chromium is timeless. See the Chrysler building for any explanations.

Re: Blacking out window chrome in Denver

Do it yourself. It isn't easy, but it isn't overly difficult if you take your time.

I did mine twice. First was with black chrome to match the wheels as Jolten, but thought it was a little much so I pulled it off and went black. I will be redoing the driver's rear window when I get it back as I know that the corner is pulling up some. I still have plenty left over though.

Re: Blacking out window chrome in Denver

Good to know. Yeah, I have been pulling up TrueCar and I have been getting really good feedback from users on here on what is fair and whatnot. Obviously, I am not going to go in expecting to pay 50K. Funny thing, someone in my neighborhood just posted on our community social media website that they work at Centennial and they are making great deals. I took that as a sign that they may be a little anxious to clear out some inventory before year end. Also, due to my logistics, I won't be able to get up there until two weeks from now which would put me right at month end, as well as closer to year end. Whereabouts are you? Downtown? I lived in the Bear Valley Creek area for a few months before moving to the burbs.

I was just at Centennial and they have several SRTs. They may be in a dealing mood. I work a mile from centennial jeep. Live in roxborough.

I'll embrace the chrome just as soon as the city of Denver embraces something other than mag chloride.
