I'm in NoVA and am enjoying the snow and some Woodford Reserve. Once the snow stops, I may get out there, but I don't want my spoiler acting as a snow plow...

Where have all of you NOVA SRT owners been hiding? I rarely saw any of our Jeep SRTs crusing the roads.

Re: Blizzard 2016

Too much snow! Our Escalade got stuck yesterday in one our neighborhood streets. Took an hour to get it out. Besides, my SRT is stuck at Koons getting the sunroof curtain fixed.

Mine is rarely outside the garage during the week as I use Metro to get to and from work. On the weekends, it's generally a quick trip to the grocery or other stores in the area and that's it. If it wasn't for a trip to Georgia back in November, my SRT would still less than 1,000 miles...

Nice I only have 16k on my 14. Same story used mainly for road trips or weekend driving.

Re: Blizzard 2016

Are you guys using snow specific tires or can the stock tires (3season?) okay for use? I live in SF Bay Area where we get zero snow but a 2.5 hour trip up north and we're in Lake Tahoe.

I do t want to get caught off guard if I decide to take a trip. Snow chains? I thought we couldn't use them with the jeep? I could be wrong. Thanks for any input

Re: Blizzard 2016

Stock three seasons should be fine... Dedicated snows would be better.

Re: Blizzard 2016

I live in North Tahoe and ran the Pirelli scorpion verde tires through one (very droughty) winter. My impression was to get dedicated winter tires. Which I did of course. However, being from the bay and making a weekend trip up, no problem. Just realize that they won't have as much traction as a good winter tire and drive accordingly. If you have minimal tread then you're in trouble.. That is if and only if there is active weather. Interstate 80 can be pretty gnar if there is a snowstorm.
