Re: Bondurant School tomorrow!

Wow. Class is done. We did an autocross with the charger hellcat, which was so great. Then we did about ten laps in a Viper GT2.0 and then the instructors took twice around the track in a challenger hellcat. They owned those cars. Wow

Re: Bondurant School tomorrow!

Also, I think I was the only one there that had purchased a GC. Lots of hellcat owners.

Jealous, I can't wait. Although I am taking the $1k credit to do the 2 day dedicated Hellcat HPD class with my son for his 21st birthday in January since no JGC's now...mom lives in PHX so it'll be a mini vaca...I love Jan weather in PHX esp for racing a car around a track

Re: Bondurant School tomorrow!

Did you get to drive the viper?
That would make it worthwhile for me....
How about the skid pad? Did they let you loose, drift around?
Did you have any lead follow track sessions?
Can the certificate be sold or transferred or used for credit on any other Bondurant programs?

sold/transfer = no, the VIN you give must have your name in their owner record and that name must be the participant. I wanted to buy one for my son since they give $1k credit towards a multi-day and that would be a net savings...

I am getting the $1k credit but here is the verbiage from the email they sent me when Bondurant took over....

"Bondurant also provides more than just the SRT experience, as we have been in business 48 years and have trained the best of the best. We even offer a $1,000 incentive to the more serious drivers that would like to experience our regular length (2day, 3day, 4day) HPD and road racing specific classes."

Yes, we got to drive the viper around the track in the lead follow session. We got up to 90-100 mph (awesome)
We did the skid pad using the charger skid car, which was fun, but only 3 minutes. The certificate we got at the end can be used on a future course to get a $600 discount.

I am going to try the 3 day challenger course next fall. I was thinking of doing the hellcat, but the track is too short for you to get to use the full power. So, normal challenger for me. It is $300 less. The instructors said they only get to 115 max using the challenger hellcat in the hot laps, and they were hauling some butt.

The casino next door has a real cheap rate ($89/night) for Bondurant people. That was a real nice hotel too.

Just an FYI. I am 6' and about 240lbs. It was a challenge to get into the viper and it was not comfortable at all. The guy I was going to ride with was too long in the body to even fit in the viper with the racing helmet.

That being said. Wow. What an amazing vehicle; I could not make it lose control.

Bring a GoPro or two. They were not strict about external mounts. I wish I had brought some
