Hey fellas. I am doing a xpipe install on my 14 SRT and had a few questions. Anyone have pics on what theirs looks like for install reasons...

Also is there any loss of power (back pressure) or what not

Any cabin drone that is horrible or anything

Any help would be great because it's getting installed tomorrow

My guy is building the xpipe and welding it at his shop. Just want to make sure I'm making the right move. Current exhaust I have right now is the atak.
Thanks boys and merry Christmas

If your going to chop that suitcase muffler and replace it with a straight flow x pipe it's going to be louddddd. I had that set up before I got the longtube headers installed(still sounds the same just more rumble)Yes you will lose some low end torque but gain a little top end. Cabin drone I don't care personally cause it just sounds nasty lol but after 60 or 70 it can get a little annoying if your going on a long trip. I would also use a 2.5 inch piping not 3inch to get some pressure from the xpipe.

Ok perfect. Yup 2 1/2" is what we are going with. I moved the appointment to this coming Monday rather than yesterday so we shall see what happens.

Its not that loud. Only advice i can give is to make sure to leave enough flow through the X. I think it sounds like the gt haus amd everyone thought i had the gt haus till i admitted to not having it.

I had this setup although I had resonators with the X-pipe. I've had just the ATAK, the ATAK + X-pipe with resonators, and the GTHaus. According to my butt dyno the Jeep made the most power with my custom setup. IMHO I wouldn't run it without resonators. It was loud enough but not obnoxious in the cabin. It also appeared to have the perfect amount of back pressure.

ok, really close to pulling the trigger.....can't decide between x-pipe using 2.5 or 3?.....is anyone throwing codes with either of these set ups? any idea of how much performance will be affected one vs. the other?

I'm with Scott. No codes and no power loss. At first I thought I lost a little something from a dig but after doin it a few times. Was way wrong haha. 3" as well

DOM I know this is old. But are you still running this set-up.. Atak with custom X-pipe? If so how is it doing for you.. Am trying to avoid spending $3,700 on gthaus. Do you have any videos of this..

Thanks

Yo bud yes I still am running that set up. Same reason why you just mentioned. Sound is awesome and there is no drone what so ever. Loud aggressive when opening her up but normal for normal driving. You will love it
