Re: Brake Pad Life

WOW! I hope that 6800 miles is not the norm? This wasn't normal city/highway driving right? I saw a few pad threads that I might need to read. Short pad life + dust is a really sucky situation to be in. Will be looking for a pad that has less dust and last and has a better pad life.

Which ones? HPS or ceramic?

I'm going to pick up a set and have them ready for when I do need to replace them, just deciding between ceramic or hps. I'm expecting I'll need them for my inspection in February, have 13k on the Jeep now.

Can I ask why? Stopping power?

I was going to go ceramic for the lesser dust and have heard they stop nearly as well as stockers.

Interesting, I had ceramic pads on my '89 930 and they were exactly the opposite and the monoblock 930 brakes are very similar.
