Brake warning disable.

Hello,

Is there a way to disable the warning alarm that sounds as a proximity sensor or the slight automatic braking and brake light warning that comes on when one is too close to another vehicle?

If had a couple of near misses that I needed to accelerate out of but instead the brakes came on just when I needed a quick surge out of the problem and not a quick stop.

I know the purpose of these warnings is to prevent accidents but sometimes it may do the contrary.

Thanks for the advise.

Re: Brake warning disable.

You can turn off the auto brakes in settings but not the alert I believe. If the alert can be switched off too I'd be keen to know how

They can both be turned off. Go to settings and it is under safety and driving assistance i think.

Re: Brake warning disable.

Disable the Forward Collision Warning System by pressing the forward collision warning button--located on the panel below the Uconnect display--once. The button's LED will illuminate, indicating that the system has been deactivated.
