Buying new 2016 white SRT on Monday. I've asked the seller to remove the badges: Jeep badge on hood, Grand Cherokee badges on side doors and SRT badge in right rear, and paint black the Jeep badge on the rear hatch door.
Anything else I should know before pulling the trigger?
I would carefully inspect their debadging work....if not too late I would insist on the body shop doing the debadging which might happen anyway with the small paint job of the tailgate badge but you don't want the barely post-puberty pdi/detail kid doing it...
True...have them tint the windows instead. Nothing sharper than a blacked out white SRT--except for our Black Crystals for the 20 minutes they stay clean
I had a black 15 viper. Those gen V vipers have zero orange peel since they are painted by hand at prefix. If you cough on it, it will scratch. I'm so glad I have an orange TA now as its beautiful and so much easier to clean (hide normal fine line scratches).
Thanks everyone. I hope to buy this week. The rear Jeep badge is indented in the body, so I guess they will either paint it black or buy a new black emblem. I was wondering if I could pay a body shop to take the badge out and smooth it out. Maybe a big job. Either way, I'm excited to buy this Jeep SRT. I've looked long and hard for a strong viable SUV-truck. In the end it was between the Toyota Tundra or the Jeep SRT.
Same. ^^
I've had a Grand National and Trailblazer SS. Both black. My Velvet Red SRT got delivered to the dealer today and I pick it up Thursday. I like a deep black, but tired of the upkeep to keep it clean. Minnesota winters and road salt just don't mix with black.
Just curious, has anyone paid a body shop to Fill-In (and remove) the rear Jeep logo and badge and indentation all together? How does it look? No offense, I was never a big badge/name/logo person and I prefer to be low profile. Let people guess if it's an SRT .....
