Bwoody and header wrap

Has anyone thought of wrapping their Bwoody intake tube in header wrap? Talking to Chad at Blackops, he brought up a good point that the intake tube is metal and that will soak up the heat from the engine bay.

My intake just came in and I am thinking about doing it if it makes sense.

Thanks for the help
Zach

Header wrap i don't think would be the best as your trying to protect things from the heat of the header?

would be better off with reflective heat sheilding Like i used on the sheild of my Injen intake. Plus this stuff is pliable self adhesive. it defiantly reduces the heat from the motor to the filter.

Thanks Chad. Went with the Bwoody. I like how the filter sits outside the engine bay. If I decried to wrap the intake I'll post pictures and temps.
