Last Novmeber, my dealer called me said my SRT8 was alreday put in the production scheduled that it would be in Jan. 2013 and they(dealer) alreday have the VIN#.
Last week I would like to check my srt8's status ,so I asked them the VIN# for tracking, but they said they don't have the VIN yet and they don't have any idea about the production schedule, and and they don't when can I have my SRT8.
Right now I can't trust my dealer, And I'd like to know if is there something wrong in the factory U.S. Could you guys can tell me what is happend.
BTW, I only know my srt8 is the 51th in Canada, is there some one can check what is Canada's No. is in Production right now.
I asked my dealer for the VIN# and I was told only way can have the VIN# till the SRT8 is built. Is that ture? I mean I have to wait until the srt is built?
Wish I could help you more srtN. I checked all the order paperwork for my 2012 purchased last June, thinking maybe some reference there would help, but there is nothing. One thing for sure though, the 2013 model build ends this month, so if your dealer is not jerking you around, they definitely have the Vehicle Order Number (VON) and can track your order. If they don't at least give you the VON, and agree to track it, ask for the owner of the dealership, show him/her your contract and insist on that information. You have a written contract, and you have a right to know. Get past the salesperson, who is not helping you and make it clear to the owner you are going to enforce this contract legally if necessary.
