Cleaning seats in 2012 SRT

Hi all,

I gave a ride the other day to a friend and he has a bad smoking habit. He left a very odd smell in my front passenger seat. I tried febreeze auto but i can still sense the odor. Does anyone have any suggestions for good cleaning products or methods for SRT seats?

Very Best

I don't have a wonder cure but,
Vacuum the seat thoroughly, clean with a good product, and if you can (have a garage) park your car with windows open for a few days.......

The blue Lysol disinfectant spray.. the smell is going to be strong but it gets the odor out.. FYI spray it when your done driving for the day and then crack the window so it can air out..

Thanks all for the replies, i'll try that lysol spray tomorrow night. I Left all my windows down the other night but the smell just came back! Drives me nuts. Oh well, i bought it brand new and just turned 82,000 miles with not too many issues so i'll let this one slide.

No problem. If you didn't have an odor b4 the Lysol works.. I used it for the same reason. Coworker was smelling like a chimney. Needless to say that was the last time he got my car..

Re: Cleaning seats in 2012 SRT

don't laugh until you have tried this....

...fully recline the seat so the back is a flat as possible
...heavily sprinkle the area with baking soda from new unopened box, should be all white no fabric visible
...do not disturb for as long as you can, a long weekend in the garage is best although if its your DD you could of course still drive it
...vacuum up with household vac with a fresh bag (gives max suction), not a wimpy car vac...

this is a 100% safe way to remove odors from fabric, baking soda is magical on odors

Re: Cleaning seats in 2012 SRT

Anyone know how to get the SRT logo bright white again? Seems the cleaner I have been using has made my logo appear quite dingy...

I've used this a couple time with great results. I didn't use the scrubby part on the lid, I just sprayed it and let it sit a little then patted it dry with a clean cloth.

This used to get ride of heavy cannabis smoke (idk where it was coming from....) over night. Spray a liberal amount through the cabin and the seat and then just leave your roof on vent and crack the rest of the windows about an inch or so.
