Wow that is crazy! You can tell by the damage he was going wayyyyy too fast. What do you think totaled or not? Can your insurance company really deny the claim because you were speeding or driving reckless or whatever?

That is what I was wondering, could they deny it? my guess is no because regardless how stupid it was the crash was not intentional. If the vehicle were intentionally and purposefully crashed maybe they could deny it. I don't really know just theorizing

Re: Cornering apparently isn't THAT good...

I run high mileage for a living. Feeling sorry for this guy. Could be just stupid driving but no doubt he didn't plan on this. Fuel spills to squirrels could be on every turn we all make.

A 99 vette I had in 2000 nearly ditched me on a high spot at the beginning of a sharp turn on a 55mph highway years ago.

Any stiff suspension vehicle will leave the ground loosing all traction for a moment on uneven surfaces.

The turn that scares the @#$% out of me in that vette years ago I had driven many times at higher speed in a soft riding 94 ZJ while sipping on coffee. Had no idea the vette would leave the ground at a lower speed I normally went around the turn in the jeep.

Just a FYI... Stiff is for the track, not the ever changing road.

I was raised on a dirt bike and have lost nearly all my friends I rode bikes with due to their street bikes they began riding later in life....which also leave the ground with ever so slight variance in hight of the pavement.

Re: Cornering apparently isn't THAT good...

I m not sure he rolled it by taking the corner too fast.
Looking at the long gash on the side, he's collected another vehicle parked on the side of the road. This has plucked the rear wheel and suspension out, which caused the rollover

Re: Cornering apparently isn't THAT good...

While I do not condone driving like a tool in suburban streets, that damage could easily have been cause at a crash of under 35mph. Hit a kerb side on at even low speed will cause that type of damage and roll a car over.

Re: Cornering apparently isn't THAT good...

what freaking idiot, I mean I like to go fast and corner hard too but I never do it in a neighborhood. I mean seriously, that's what a race track is for and many of road courses in the country do track day events so you could bring your ride on the track.

I'd say chances are good that he won't be covered. Many insurance policies have clauses that deny coverage if you're driving recklessly.
