Re: Crazy glue on center console :(

That sucks, but did it at least hold the trim piece after all that? I have an appt for mine doing the same next week. I got impatient and used headliner adhesive spray on my cf piece and it's holding on fine.
In the Marine Corps we use OFF bug spray to get all kinds of marks and stains off. OFF means OFF! Try some off bug spray wipes or spray it on a rag then wipe. Let it soak for a few if it's stubborn. Good luck.

Re: Crazy glue on center console :(

If nothing else works try a single edge razor blade. Strop it on one side with card board to get a better edge and no scratches. We've used paint over stripes, double sided tape, emblem adhesive, etc. in the body shop.

Re: Crazy glue on center console :(

I had my console piece there replaced because I broke a retainer clip when I lifted it out to hide my radar detector wire. It included the cupholders as well. It was a few hundred bucks - luckily covered under warranty. Part is not cheap.

Thanks. That helped narrow down what I'm looking for but I think I found it for less $$. Contact the company to confirm though.

Awesome Thank you.

Wow if that's the right part it's a great price. Let us know if you go that route.

One on ebay for $200 + 18 shipping. The one above is a better deal.

Pretty sure crazy glue being dropped on the console isnt a warranty item.

Finger nail polish remover will loosen and dissolve cyanoacrylate [crazy glue] but I'd sure test a non-conspicuous place first to see if it damages that finish.

A fingernail orange stick may work with the remover, being careful not to scratch.

STOP!!!!
Step back.....

Crazy glue is basically CA glue. You can go to a hobby lobby and find CA glue disolver. You apply it and let it sit for 5 min then wipe it off. Repeat until it is done.

Re: Crazy glue on center console :(

It never happened. Yup. Never happened.

For FYI, the correct part number is 1XH201SAAD, which costs $260.

But I wouldn't know because it never happened ... yup, that's what I'm telling myself. Never happened.
