Crazy glue on center console :(

The CF piece around the start button fell off. Glued it back but ended up getting crazy glue on the center console. So yeah. Pretty much sucks.

Is this piece easily replaceable? Any ideas where to get a new one? Thanks.

Re: Crazy glue on center console :(

before you buy a new piece try some of this at the link below. but remember this stuff is harsh so could take the finish off the plastic but if you are going to replace anyway doesn't hurt to try

The paint on that console is impossible to repair. I tried. The solution ain't cheap but it works:

Sand and spray? However I would definitely replace, and put it behind me.

Re: Crazy glue on center console :(

Acetone will work and nail polish remover contains acetone. Use a toothbrush along with nail polish remover and work on the outside and then on inside where you have glue.

Good luck

My guess is that it will also remove the paint and possibly dissolve the plastic. I would consider it gone otherwise do the sand and repaint as Barboots suggested. Maybe experiment on the underside of the panel.

If its going in the trash doesnt hurt to give the goof off a shot. The goof off super glue remover is only $4 bucks and amozon will drop at your door for nothing. If it doesnt work its got a nillion other uses. Id try the $4 fix before the $400 dollar fix you got nothing to loose

Yes, once you split the shifter handle and remove the one screw, the rest pops off. Just watch the wiring.

Thanks. That helped narrow down what I'm looking for but I think I found it for less $$. Contact the company to confirm though.
