CTP Remote Cutouts Warning
Long time, no post. I just wanted to pass this information on to anyone looking to add a set of remote cutouts to your 2014 SRT. I just paid my mechanic to, finally, remove these things. I have gone through 2 sets of them, and in both cases, after a month or so, they stuck open. I purchased mu first set on May 27, 2015. The second set on August 11. Both from Summit Racing. I now have invested close to $1000.00 in these things, including repairs, re-installation and removal labor. I should have just capped them off the first time. My mechanic says he has never had a problem with any of the round flaps, just these oval ones for the SRT. And they were also a bear to find adequate room to install initially, but my guy was able to get them on.
Just thought I would pass that on.
