Dealer discounting on SRT8

I've been away for a while and didn't turn anything up on a search so I figured I would post this if anyone had an interest.

I haven't confirmed the price or availability but the Daytona Beach dealer lists 2 SRT's, one in stock and one in transit. They show a $4399 DISCOUNT on the one in stock..... I may have to take a drive over there ;) It's only about 5 miles away.

That is a decent deal. It will be interesting to know whether or not the price is real.

They have this disclaimer "* The estimated selling price that appears after calculating dealer offers is for informational purposes, only. You may not qualify for the offers, incentives, discounts, or financing. Offers, incentives, discounts, or financing are subject to expiration and other restrictions. See dealer for qualifications and complete details."

but they also have this statement "Please keep in mind during that our prices posted are the real prices. We honor all our advertised prices, they do not include rebates that only a small percentage qualify for, or attempt to change that price when you arrive. This is our policy!"

BTW, this is the same dealer who insisted they had to charge me their $899 dealer fee on an Affiliate Priced Overland last year so I'm not holding out any hope this price is either for real or that they actually have the vehicle on the lot. I see their site has been updated with another one in transit. Since these were all supposed to be "Sold" deals either they gamed the system or a lot of people cancelled orders.

The website is BS, they don't have one but said I could place a deposit and they would be happy to order one for me (are the order banks still open for the SRT?).

Didn't discuss price but as soon as you mention it they start talking about how great it is, that's the prelude to "bend over". I truly dislike this dealer, I always leave feeling a bit slimier than when I came in.

Interesting aside, the salesman asked me where I bought my Overland. When I said not here because your GM refused to honor affiliate rules by insisting I be charged a dealer fee he couldn't get rid of me fast enough. I did happen to say that loud enough so the owner, who was standing a few feet away could hear me loud and clear. The salesman didn't want any part of that discussion.
