What's baffling is that you can currently order any other 2012 Grand Cherokee in Deep Cherry Red, except for the SRT model.
Even once Red becomes available, the limit of color choices on the Jeep SRT is baffling, and always has been. These vehicles should be available in a minimum of 5-6 colors. On some of the other Chrysler co. vehicles all colors are available on all trim lines.
Currently, the 2012 Charger SRT8 can be ordered in 5 different colors, the 2012 Challenger SRT8 in six colors, and the Chrysler 300C SRT8 in 5 colors. And more colors are on the way for all 3 of those vehicles. The Jeep is the ONLY 2012 SRT8 model to use Brilliant Black, all other models are available in Gloss Black (aka "Pitch Black" or "Black Clear Coat").
there are cars on the lots in deep cherry...so it must be available. I expect it anyday for the SRT...but I think i would rather have inferno red or deep molten red?????
At first I wanted mineral grey...then the red....when I called to order, only silver and mineral grey were available so I went with the mineral grey (brilliant black became available about an hour later)
Scott...
If you show us the WK vs WK2 video, we can help you with your decision! LOL..
You've obviously shown the devotion to Red...Why make a decision before you see it in person?
Seems like dealers will have them in stock soon enough, so, imo, I'd wait.
I'm pretty sure the reason red is unavailable is because of the tsunami that hit *JAPAN*, which is where a chemicalnis made that involves the red paint, so supplies are limited.

LOL SRTDogg. My Jeep is Inferno red...so instead of murdered...I was trying to be funny and called it bloodied becasue of all the red and black paint matching. Its actually kinda stuck.....lol
Mineral Gray gets my vote. I special ordered my Overland since none of the dealers seemed to order any for stock and I'm 100% glad I did. It looks great with the flat black accents on the Overland and will look killer in the monochrome look on the SRT8.
If I trade into an SRT8 it will only happen if I can find or order another Mineral Gray.
Yeah the cherry is FUGLY! The old RedRock and Inferno were way better. That said, the mineral gray is sweet! Imagine that with a nice set of black wheels w/ chrome lip and some other visual mods! SEX!!!
