I agree can't wait to introduce the Beast as just a "Jeep"

^ Sorry for all the "I's"

Me too I love saying I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and then one of my friends that understands the difference will say "yeah but he has the racing jeep" then a new conversation starts with me showing pictures on my phone haha.

Re: Deleting rear JEEP badge on MY14 SRT

I want to fill in that logo area too on my '14. I went to the dealer yesterday to get a quote from their body shop to fill and paint it and they said about $350-400. I also found out a new piece is $400 from Mopar. I have misplaced the part #, but I know it is listed under the rear lamp, as I guess the plate lamp is affiliated to it. My worry is filling the space and getting cracks forming afterwards in the paint.

Call me a purist too but I don;t mind the Jeep badges. Besides what better way to remind the BMWs and MBs they just got dusted by a JEEP!

I took all my badges off except the back one. I am fine with it on their too. I like watching people walk around my truck asking wtf it is then getting to the back seeing the Jeep logo and you see the wheels turning in their head thinking "is this really a jeep?!?!" I do want mine black though

Re: Deleting rear JEEP badge on MY14 SRT

With a little help, I tracked down the part. It comes pre-painted--not that it matters for this project.

The Mopar part number for bright white is 5PS79GW7AA. OEM price is $279 but a quick Google search shows just under $200 from the usual sources.

I hear you guys that don't like de-badging. Something that attracted me to this animal was how much of a sleeper it is; I don't need or want the BMW or MB nameplate. That said, the Jeep brand just feels so wrong...not just on the SRT (which screams Dodge) but the Grand Cherokee design overall--it's too refind, too european for me to ever think of it as a "Jeep." This is clearly my own stereotype at play but I really feel Chrysler has a mess on their hands with the current branding strategy.

Back to the brow, here's the updated diagram:

Look here , you got it all wrong. The pride is that it is a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Are you Euro trash or are you from 'Merica!? The Europeans would be lucky to have their heritage associated with anything Jeep. If the Jeep screams European then that means it screams "gay", and I ain't be havin' no gay Jeep.

PS. 'MERICA!!!!

judging by how long it took you to paint the chrome parts, I'm guessing you dont have a good paint shop near you, if you did, it would have been a lot easier, my guy masked the rear and painted the jeep emblem on the car, few hours later I drove of

but this is definitely food for thought

Re: Deleting rear JEEP badge on MY14 SRT

I agree the branding is a mess at Chrysler right now. 2014 is the year that SRT is to be its own brand, meaning all their products, not just the Viper. Also, the models have dropped their numerical designation, as I drive a SRT Grand Cherokee. It is no longer a Jeep or a SRT8. I would prefer not having Jeep on the car at all, floor mats and key fob included. If Chrysler wants to make SRT its own brand, then do it all at once. Hence, I want to get rid of the Jeep on the rear. I did keep the GC on the doors tho. I'm fine with that.

You still have the old car plate

I do like the old ones though.

By the way, you have changed the fog lights haven't you ?

I can see from the signature there're different from oem..

If so, any idea where did you get them from ?
