Re: Do you use FCW braking ?

Same thing happened with me Philly, a car was turning and the car braked like crazy. I had the settings as "Far" as well, which made it worse. If someone was behind me he would have surely crashed into me.

Saudi.SRT8 is a name known to all
Turned off immediately, but every couple of days it was turning on by it self !
Then I did two updates (one was a recall) the other for the Uconnect .
No problems after that

Re: Do you use FCW braking ?

I leave it on but disabled park assist due to annoying beeps putting the Jeep in the garage. The park assist turns itself back on by it's self after a few days. Annoying.

FCW has already saved my wife. She said she was looking at a business to the side
when a car pulled right in front of her from a side street and the jeep braked twice sharply then once hard to just miss the left back corner of the car that pulled in front of her.

Mine stays on.

She has already hit a rim on a curb making an inch round scratch on the right front rim while park assist was on. lol

it happens.

Mine is on 90% of the time but if I know I'm going to be in stop and go I'll turn it off.

Re: Do you use FCW braking ?

I don't have FCW braking system in my SRT.
In my country, Argentina, we don't have ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL.

Re: Do you use FCW braking ?

Mine is more like "Wife mode" - it doesn't actually brake but flashes "Break", alarms go off and the ABS is set-up. It seems a good middle ground to me. Like others it has really only gone off when accelerating to move into another lane when traffic is stopped in mine. It would be terrible if it actually did brake in this situation!

Re: Do you use FCW braking ?

Just my opinion, but, unless the driver is an asshole sending text messages, or something similar, the system is useless. I had it on less than 24 hours, before I turned it off.

So you basically disabled the braking part, but not the warning message eh ?
