Does Anyone Know This Jeep?

Hey guys,
Looking to pick up this SRT. The deal is pretty much done, just waiting on new tires.

I was wondering if anyone recognized it here?
It has some mods so I wasn't sure if it was a members.

Thanks

no knowledge of it but I thought you might like the original window sticker and the "born with" equipment listing....

Just me but I would never buy a modded car. That shows a sign that the previous owner ran it hard at times. Try to avoid it if you can.

IMHO those are not "mods" as real mods go...real mods are PCM tunes, headers, superchargers, etc....all those are very very common appearance and sound "accessories"...they really add nothing more than "butt" dyno additions and in general they mean someone cared for it enough to spend more dough on it than the average person who never looks under the hood and just has the oil changed....that said, things like this are personal so as long as the tastes of the buyer match up with what the seller did then it's a great match, in general. As long as these items were installed properly they should not be avoided if the buyer wants/likes stuff like this....

The description states you have dropped springs and SRT springs are included. If you want to sell either set there is usually a line waiting for those items on the JeepGarage Classifieds.

Nice ride! Keep us updated.

I doubt you can find ANY performance vehicle that wasn't ran hard a couple of times, moded or not. They are built to be run hard. What you should be afraid of are vehicles that were ran stupidly. The signs for those is not mods. It's typically a loud mouth owner and curb rash on the rims

You mean dented rims.....curb rash is from people who can't park.

Luckily most buyers do not have your same mentality. This is a performance car, it's good to open it up from time to time.

Re: Does Anyone Know This Jeep?

Nothing wrong with buying a modded vehicle. Those are the ones that are generally cared for more than the average vehicle.

Look at used Toyota camrys. Those things always have trashed interiors. Scratches all around the bumpers. Severe curb rash. Few and far between oil changes. Then look at a modded vehicle. Mint condition inside and out. A service record that's a 10/10 and it's probably never been driven in rain or snow.

Are you staying that my mentality is ridiculous or something?
Because buying a modded car is also buying someone's else headaches too. But hey if you're in the market to buy headaches by all means go right ahead!

And to your other point...

True that it's good to open them up from time to time but, you have to take into account how much and how hard that owner did. If he beat on it everyday then who knows what condition that motor truly is in.

That doesn't hold true.... I've seen modded cars at used dealers that look like trash inside and out. Also only used dealers can sell modded cars as new car dealers can't certify modded cars unless it was done by them i.e. oem exhausts, intakes, FI, and suspensions.

Your more prone to get the story on a modded car from the owner actually selling it themselves. And you'll see how much they took care of it.
