Also, the engine should get a little more TLC than rolling off the same line as the other Hemis in Mexico...this is a american muscle car engine, at least make it in america!! I am not trying to troll, but am just pointing out that these vehicles don't get the TLC in manufacturing they deserve. SRTs closest competitors are BMW M, AMG and Caddy V...all these engines are made in dedicated factories with tighter tolerances and "cream of the crop" workers.
i love how mine looks compared to the regular GC. to the 1% who know what it is, they appreciate the looks but to the other 99% i am not worried about attracting too much attention to it.

I didn't say that it wasn't up to my standards. What I was saying that they aren't any better than Jeep from my experience. I have never expected anything to be perfect. But people keep putting these vehicles on pedestals for their quality. I have yet to find anything that perfect.

This is how I decide on buying a vehicle. First I figure out the purpose for the vehicle (i.e. hauling things, performance, comfort). Then I go to styling (which I seem to prefer the Mercs over anything else right now). Then I look at customer reviews (past and present), plus my own experiences with manufacturer and service dept. Will never, ever own another corvette. Biggest piece of junk I ever owned (fun to look at, fun to drive), but what a piece of junk.

I've owned 16 Chrysler products, 3 Mercs, 3 Fords, and 2 Chevy's. You can see where my loyalty has been. But, when Chrysler was run by a Private Equity company, quality went to crap and I wouldn't buy any of their products.

Every company make their own gem,or diamond, and they also make their lemons too,I have seen massive recalls on some European automobile in the past, and also on some North American automobiles too.

What you did not like about the corvette? the 0 to 60 under 4 sec,for 40 to 50 thousands, and in case of the exotic super car like Lamborghini $100,000.00 less than the European imports.Come on spit it out.
European would kill to make such a fast sport car doing 0 to 60 sec under 4 sec,for the price.

Even if someone around here gets a JGC, it'll just help show how much cooler looking mine is.
I take care of my vehicles, so if Jeep gets it right, it'll stay right. I''ll provide all the TLC she needs, along with the ocassional abuse (wink wink)
bingo....milous told me at one time that my deep cherry red 13' was the only red in the state of KY! Im sure more were sold in KY since Sept.....but not many.

North American automobile companies went through a phase where they just put out pure junk on the market, including the Cadillac, that period of inferior products hurt their image, and they still suffer from it a little bit today.

Then if they are bullet proof with no issues, then why would chrysler make a separate line just for them..wouldn't make much business sense if no problems with them.

I think this all comes down to personal preference, and perceived value. If it takes having your engine built on a seperate line than others to make you think that car is somehow "special", go buy a car that has that. People automatically think that because a car is "european" or more specifically German, that it is better. Ive owned about 3 Bmws, and with every newer model I bought i had more problems. If I can buy an suv that is in the same class as others that cost 30-40k more once you add up options, I honestly dont care if the motor is made on a seperate line....it could be made on the moon for all i care....
