I just joined this site becuase I was about to purchase a 2012 Jeep SRT8. I found a dealer that had allocation and would allow me to order at invoice cost if I was willing to wait the 120 days lead-time. I am afraid to purchase becuase of all the problems I am reading about here. Transfer case problems, paddle shifter problem, trim pieces not lining up, and now we have paint issues?

Are these limited cases or is everyone having problems?

Only two memebers had paint problems and i think the transfer case issue was simple to resolve.

Been following this topic (2012 model year) closely since early may when I decided to order an SRT8, I feel that the amount of issues has been no greater than you see with a new vehicle intro. I have 2600 miles on mine with no issues at all. I believe that the vast majority that have taken possession would report the same. There have been a few issues though that have certainly been unacceptable but I think jeep has responded quickly (with the exception of HD Guy's order). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this truck to my friends as long as they are ok with the price and the amount of time the order could take to arrive.

I feel for everyone that has had issues and don't want to sound like I'm gloating but I love mine and have had no fit and finish or mechanical issues. She has just over 2100 miles on her.
