Draggin the Jeep!

Well I finally got my 2014 out to the drag strip last night and I was really impressed. It was getting faster as the night went on and had I not been knocked out (king of the hill type competition) I am sure I could have broke it into the 12s, if not a 13.0. As it was my best run of the night was a 13.1@102.

Vehicle Stats:
9,000 miles on the jeep
K&N Drop in Filter
Launch control set to attempted max 3600 (earlier I did a launch at the attempted max and the factory stock and ran the same time...just an FYI)
and not that it matters with the jeep and all its automation, but I have years of drag racing experience.
Enjoy.

Below is the time slip from my last run and the Jeeps internal time slip of the same run.

Thoughts? Comments? Concerns?

Looks pretty good! Congrats, I'm sure you surprised some people by beating them in a 2.5 ton SUV!!

Re: Draggin the Jeep!

Isn't that the truth, including myself. After I beat someone or kept up with someone they would come talk to me in the pits and ask me what all i had done to my GC, and their jaw would hit the floor when I told them it was stock! It is the ultimate Ego bruiser! It was also a crowd favorite. Pics to come as well!

My best 0-60 time was 4.1 with launch control set at default. I didn't get any better times adjusting it.

I actually have been getting much better times not using launch control. Just holding the brake gun it to 3000 and let it go. If comes out of the hole much quicker it feels like it. My times show it too.

Re: Draggin the Jeep!

Nice times. I figured a 14 would run a solid low 13 second run. I bet in cooler weather you'll be digging into the 12's no problem
