DRL - Headlights & Bumper Mod?

Proud new owner of an 2014 SRT. Of the mods that I am looking to do, top of the list is to figure out a way to get the headlight LEDs and Bummer LEDs to turn on.

I checked every setting the Jeep has, other than turning the DRL (Bumper LEDs only) on I can't find anything. Short of always driving with the headlights on, anyone got ideas how to get both?

Bugged me on the way home seeing a 2014 Summit in my rearview (SRT FTW ) with the headlight LEDs on. Jeep should have really thought this one through...

I'm confused. When I put the switch in the parking lights 'on' position, the headlight LEDs and bumper LEDs are on. The taillights end up being on too, but that's ok, right?

You may already know this, but just in case ... the headlight dlr's require the car to be running, in drive and the emergency brake off. So, you need to either see a reflection, or have somebody in the drivers seat.

Odd, mine only have the bumper leds on. Even with the parking lights on. Might have to swing by the dealership over the weekend to see what's up. For me, the headlight LEDs are only on when the headlights are one.

Hopefully the dealer solves your problem.

Both sets of LEDs should be on when the parking light switch is ON.

Good luck

K, took the wife and had her watch as I flipped switches. Parked with parking lights, the headlights were on. In gear, they were both on.

Thanks guys, guess other people don't keep their rides clean enough for me to admire my own vehicle.

Gonna be rockin this look for a while

Does that actually answer the question. I would want the headlight DRL's on with the Bumper DRL's no matter what the lighting selection.

For now I suppose leaving the parking lights on will suffice but thats not what we want here is it?

Don't get me wrong, I would still like to rock the headlight LEDs as part of the DRLs. I mean, come on, when is additional visibility a bad thing. It would just add to making the SRT that much 'safer.'

However, for a temp solution, parking lights isn't a bad thing. Well, at least not until I forget to turn them off and kill the battery.

I have a buddy that is an electrician. I am going to see if we can't take a voltage meter to the headlights to see if this could be a simple cross connect between the bumper LEDs and the headlight LEDs. I have the wiring diagram that Milous posted in the '2014 HID LED headlight' thread. From what I see, it might be possible....
