ECO mode and Torque split?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if ECO mode does shift most of the Torque into Rear Wheels? I always thought 2WD will always save more Fuel than leaving it 4wd all the time.

So my understand the Jeep is the All wheel Drive (4WD fulltime) therefore whether the ECO mode would shift the 70%-80% of torque to rear wheels rather than Track mode is 30% front and 70% rear?

The Reason I asked that the Tyre wear is different to a Friend of mine. I use a lot of ECO mode (long distance driving) and my Rear Tyres worn more (Typical 2WD). Then the friend's SRT don't use the ECO as often and his front tyres worn more faster (typical 4WD mode)

So Just want to confirm if my deduction is correct?

I've never used ECO..... Glutton for punishment I guess but I always feel like I'd be wasting an opportunity if I push that button 😎👌

Re: ECO mode and Torque split?

I believe torque split is determined by the driving mode you have the jeep in. Eg. In Auto, torque split is 40/60 R/F and retains that irrespective of eco mode. My understanding of eco mode is that it reduces the threshold for engaging mds, increases that frequency and makes the jeep roll out of dead stop in second gear instead of first.

Now that would be an obvious waste of the SRT
