Re: Eibach group buy?

Just got the Eibachs and Borlas installed. Bought them from AutoAnything for $220 shipped, if I remember correctly. They had them on sale too. Dealer Mopar shop charged me $369 to install the Borlas, springs, and alignment. But they wanted to charge me $150 more because they took a lot longer than anticipated, so maybe there's some truth about the tank issue. They never asked for authorization, so I didn't pay anything extra at the end.

Anyway, SRT is done folks. Mods are: shark fin antenna (body-colored), OEM hitch and cover, 35% 3M tint in front windows, Borla ATAK exhaust, Eibach lowering springs, OEM black altitude edition hatch 'Jeep' fascia, and fully debadged. By the way, I wouldn't want the SRT any lower than it already is; it's a TRUCK . Here are a few pics:

It was $220, sorry. Edited my post already. Now they're $260 shipped. It was the best price I got. And the only lowering springs available for the SRT. Borla is also the only exhaust available for it.

BTW, I hear the gas tank needs to be dropped for the install? Anybody know why? I'm talking in reference to the WK2 SRT8.
Bought mine for $255.00 from TireRack. Called Dave at Eibach tech before I had mine installed . He said he dropped the rear subframe (4 bolts) to make the install easy and thats what my guy did. No issues and NO dropping the tank. Paid $350.00 for install

what causes the subframe or gas tank needing to be dropped for install?

I can't imagine there ever being a need to drop the gas tank. As for dropping the subframe, all I can tell you is that the tech who made the original install at Eibach, said he dropped it and I assumed it was for ease of installation.
I passed that on to my mechanic and he ended up doing the same.

Having said that, I don't believe there is a "need" to drop either. Don't know if this helps...if not the people at Eibach always seem happy to answer any questions.
