Black Ops are easy and good to work with.

The suspension is being fitted Tuesday, wrapping the roof and window chrome gloss black Thursday. I am also doing a test carbon fiber Hydro Dip on some parts and if it looks good may carbon fiber Hydro Dip all the external black parts and interior chrome.

I have a set of 22 inch Lexani rims a BWoody CAI and Billet Technology engine dress kit coming.
All parts are from USA so the costs are 35% higher due to freight :-(

After all this will catch my breath and see what else I can do.

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

Congrats on the new ride! You'll love it. Hell, I love it stock so I imagine yours is going to be pretty sweet with the new mods.

Before buying, I couldn't find a demo model here in Sydney to test drive so while in Perth on business I managed to get a test drive from Joe from John Hughes. Glad I did.

If you are putting on 22's why not keep the Goliaths and get a refund? Then again you can whack them on ebay and sell them for a small fortune. You'll have no shortage of buyers.

I have the Spider-Monkeys but I reckon that the Goliaths would still look damn good with the Bright White...and be easier to clean than the Monkeys.

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

I am going to keep the 20 inch rims as spares for a while for when I "might" go bush bashing. the 22 inch rims on order are VERY expensive.

The suspension mods will be fitted Tuesday so I don't know the difference yet. I have only done 500 KM so far. The plastic trim pictured and the roof rails will be Hydro Dipped Thursday.

I went through Joe at John Hughes as well.
Will start posting pictures when I work out the uploading thing (will have to read the instructions) :-) can't get the profile pic to show.

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

Talking to Joe from Spectra Chrome it is a permanent thing and is quite tuff it is finished off with clear coating that is baked on. I will be dropping parts off tomorrow and picking them up Friday. Not sure if you can get a hold of the Perth Street Car magazine Vol 21 there is an article on page 46.

The Road Magnets go on Tuesday

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

Hydrodipping is awesome. What pattern are you going to get it Hydro Dipped in? I've looked it up on YouTube and it seems the possibilities are endless. You can buy DIY Dipping kits but I'm unsure if you can get them in Oz because of shipping the activator. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it turns out for you.

I'm going to buy a few cans of clear plastidip with glossifier and spraying a clearbra on the front end and spraying the chrome window trim as it gives it a brushed aluminum look while protecting it. It's two weeks old and I noticed a couple of minor scratches already I'm also thinking about putting some similar colour brushed aluminum vinyl on the center console where the shifter is because I can see that sucker getting scratched up.

I've heard too many negative stories about 3M Scotchgard and Ventureshield clear bras and subsequent removal and the Plastidip option allows the flexibility to change my mind if I want to remove it.

Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

Received the Hydro Dipped parts back today happy with the results I used these parts as a test as I am planning to Hydro Dip the external Black parts and the interior silver on the dash but it will be Jan before that happens. still waiting to collect the engine covers and the BWoody CAI they will be done in red carbon fiber to match the red of the BT under hood parts.

At this stage I am going with the carbon fiber look

Wrapping the roof is the next project and waiting for the 22 inch lexani rims.
