Re: Finally delivered Downunder

Some of the parts I Hydro dipped in CF look. It took me a few visits to the shop to get them the understand the color I wanted for the grill. I had other parts done first to get it right. Very happy with the color but there is a small blemish on one side I may get them to redo it.

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

How do they charge for this kind of work? By the hour, size of the part etc?

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

The shop in Perth charges per piece per size. It is usually around 150 to 250 per piece. When I had the parts on the front of the Jeep done the front bumper had to be taken off and the parts removed I had them to do it for me. I was going to do it myself but did not have a suitable place. So the cost was higher. The cost for all the parts dipped is around 2 grand. There are kits available so you can do it yourself but I haven't gone down that path. It might be expensive but looks great.

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

Dropped the SRT off at the painters to black out the chrome around the windows while I went to Adelaide to watch the V8 Supercars racing and had a call from them saying it's too hard to do. Not happy now I have to find somewhere else to get it done.

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

Wrap them. Most people have gone this route. I will be doing it shortly.

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

Thought of wrapping them but the guy who wrapped the roof was not keen to do it because the rear trim is fixed to the glass. He wanted to remove everything to wrap them.

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

The SUV is slowly coming together fitted the GT Haus on Friday very happy with it, the note is awesome and have had a number of people comment how good it sounds. Still waiting on a number of things the Black Ops control arms and new brake pads should turn up in a couple days. I ordered (and paid for) a set of 22 inch rims back in November and they still haven't turned up last word is May? not a happy chappy.

Re: Finally delivered Downunder

That watch is killer. I'm getting one. What is it called "Jeep Spider monkey watch"? Nice find.

Oh yeah, the other stuff is pretty killer too.
