First Impression of 2014 Jeep SRT

It Hauls ASS!!! Lot's of power, love my HEMI.
Steering wheel is more beefier, and it's nicely built, but I drive alot with one hand at the 12 Oclock position and when turning a corner, my hands slips on the leather " using the palm technique", I had no problem when I did it with my old Overland with the wood trim on the steering wheel. I got to figure out something to fix this slip, cuz I don't think i'll be changing my driving habits for this steering wheel.

The Ride is a bit more stiff then the overland. But it's a racing SUV not Luxury. I kinda like the power over cushy ride.

ECO Mode ??? when is it active and when is it not? I press it, light on, but no display on the screen. I'm very new to the vehicle so I didn't feel the difference in motor change. I'm wondering if it's even working. I assume i'll feel it when i'm more used to the new jeep.

Launch mode. Press the launch button, then put the brakes, punch the gas, wait for green light, But after 5 seconds this bull jerks out like it wants to be released out of the cage or something. freaked me out at first, I don't think I should hold the launch mode to long, like no more then 5 seconds. cuz that reaction of the jeep seems a bit harmful to it.

Uconnect apps doesn't work In Canada. That's a real let down since I want to start my jeep from my phone. I live way up northern Alberta and man the key fob has no reach. Can't wait for this to be available to us, it seems so sweet to start the vehicle from your mobile phone.

Man oh Man does this jeep pushes real F*&^&% sound Yeah!! the sound system is purely awesome!! Metallica Like it should sound!! LOUD! I love it

So to sum it up I love my jeep, feels good to have the power of an SRT, like everyone else has been saying it's worth every penny.

I think this jeep changes your identity! something about it that POW !!! feels more manly then my overland.

Re: First Impression of 2014 Jeep SRT

Congrats to a fellow owner! Feels good doesn't it??

Eco mode is on when the light above the switch is on (orange light). There is no indicator in the dash or anything else other than the light above the switch. It defaults to off (thank you!) so if you use it a lot you will have to turn it on each time you start the truck.

The launch control is awesome once you learn how to use it properly. You don't need to wait for anything except the RPMs to settle. I would not hold it at full power with the brakes on for much longer than 2-3 seconds. You should launch and be gone by then for sure. Actually I think if you wait too long the launch control will abort and you will have to start all over again. I am sure if you search there are posts on how to use it better than how I am explaining!

Wait until you figure out how to adjust the RPMs in launch control! Then you will be even more excited haha--

Enjoy the beast! Welcome to the club! Post some pictures everybody loves pictures!
