Headed to the Cabin in the Wisconsin Nothwoods to do some sleddin. I was surprised how well the jeep rode on the highway. I am very impressed with the tires and how well they track and how quiet they are.
Cruise control worked great but I did have a scare while using it. Since there is a predetermined distance between my car and the one in front of me it makes it easy for someone to sneak over. Even on the shortest distance there is plenty of room for another car to slide in. When that happens the the ACC slows the vehicle so much that the cars or 18 wheeler in this case behind me have to nail the breaks as well. Nothing like seeing the word "Mack" up close in the rear view mirror. Not sure if the break lights are activated when that happens or not. I immediately hit the gas to override the system.
Overall it was easy to drive and "ECO" was on most of the time. I managed to put on 650 miles at 17.6 mpg at an average speed of 80 mph. Not bad for only 1600 miles on it. I hope it continues to get better but most of my driving will be city so it will be hard to tell. One other thing, it seems to be getting louder the more I drive it. That is a big plus in my book.
