I just saw this on facebook and posted it...I could care less who did it or whether or not they are trusted. Also...how does a 2011 392.....have a 2010 6.1 pcm and electronics? So they gutted the car, switched all the body harnesses etc etc etc. over to 2010 and then tuned it?
I got to see a 392 Chally up and close at topo's b-day some older gentlemen had one. I like them. He also was the test fitter for the borla exhaust so he had the 1st borla cat back on it.
nice there is a guy around here at the Cars and Coffee regular that has a Mango Colored 392 Chally and his bud has the 6.1 both have 6 speeds. MUS BE NICE/
^The LX Forum also has a recent monster thread starting with the notion for the Mopar tribe to petition to allow PCM access. 15 pages later it ends with the hope that Gilles bites on his commentary from the chat to swap PCM access in exchange for thw warranty being voided.
I commented on one of Steve's pictures about the tuning, he said he had an option available for a few "good" customers, and I assume that was leading to the 2010 PCM etc. He also said RDP is waiting on Diablosport for the PCM to be cracked just like EVERYONE else.
No need to HATE Scott...the 2011+ PCM is NOT hacked yet.
dont know where I "hated" I saw the post on facebook and posted it here. I assumed they had tuned the 2011...not made crazy changes to a 2010 pcm and electronics. I dont go to other forums...so I had no idea they had hacked up the car. I have 0 interest in chally's, chargers or 300's. I also have no idea who RDP is/or what their reputation is. I do know they post COOL cars on facebook that they have built. I also know they are building a drag Jeep SRT8 for BJB.
is it really that difficult to crack? Couldn't someone just hire a computer programmer to figure this out... im sure there is someone out there that can do it... It just seems like no one is really trying that hard.
Until there is a reliable way to push past the limits of the stock tune...they are limited. With a pre 2011 Hemi, generally speaking, your wallet is the limit.
Then again, a harness swap isnt THAT hard. If a couple of guys in TX could figure out how to make an 03 hemi (very limited tuning capability) work on an 04 PCM with NO CELs in a weekend, this stuff cant possibly be that much harder.
