Folded mirror

Why would they have power folded mirror on the European Jeep SRT but not the North American SRT?

Power folded mirror would have been a nice touch for the price.

Re: Folded mirror

How often is there a need to fold your mirrors? I never have on my Overland and could care less whether they did or not.

I do miss the puddle lamp the Overland has that the SRT doesn't though.

It would also nice to have the SRT door sill light up like the summit, and have that nice red leather seat with the white stitching that they have in the Chrysler 300 and charger, and viper, available as an option to SRT owners, Heck have they seen the competition the BMW x5m and x6m with that bright red leather seat available as an option with extra cost.

HUD heads up display,is now available on the Cadillac Esclade, Lexus, Audi,BMW had it for a long time,Mercedes Benz says the reason they never implement this technology on their vehicle they thought it was a distraction, now they start to implement it on their vehicle, they say all their vehicle will have it in the future. I understand that they would have to redesign the dash behind the steering wheel on the Jeep SRT to get the data reflected on the windshield but it can be done.

This idea that they want to keep the SRT cheap in the 60 and 70 thousands $ range, there is nothing cheap about buying a vehicle in this price range,in my opinion anything south of 50 thousand would be cheap and that is up for debate, you cannot be half pregnant if you are going to make exotic vehicle to compete against European exotic like BMW x5m and x6m and Porsche Cayenne then you need to go all the way hardcore don't be pissing around all these features does not have to be standard on the SRT, because to be fare to North American automaker they are not standard on the European imports either, but Chrysler should have them available as an option the the SRT.

My greatest fear with Chrysler is that they are going to go back to the old ways of doing business which ruined the company and had to be bailed out by the American tax payers, I know they have to focus on good quality and refinement on their vehicles, but the company is making lot of profit money right now and I hope they don't get stuck in the bubble drunk on their profit and become static and wreck the company, they have some good looking and sexy vehicles out there right now that Jeep SRT is better looking than all the European Suv import right now.

They need to pay attention to what the competitors are doing and give the people the consumers what they want , If I want to pay an extra $3,000.00 for red leather seats and HUD i should be able to get it.

Re: Folded mirror

My '15 SRT has the optional red suede laguna seats with red stitching and blacked out trim with lighted srt in steering wheel center, etc...it's the Red Vapor package....don't miss the folding mirrors from my '14 Summit and I was just reminded that I don't have puddle lights from post above so I guess that's not a need for me

It's heavy enough, no need to add more weight

Re: Folded mirror

...I agree with GoPlzGo I think the real reason they skimped on the mirrors was to save some weight, and this is coming from a person who does miss the folding mirrors every time I pull the beast into my garage (I have a two car garage with two single doors) so it can be a little tight. MY14 Overland had the folding mirrors so I noticed the SRT didn't the first night (LOL). I'll live without that option as long as the engine keeps sounding like it does!

Re: Folded mirror

Wait, this is actually missing from the SRT? The motor can't add that much more weight can it? I get when you want to be fast, you try to eliminate as much weight as possible, but that's pretty cheap on FCA to pull that feature from the SRT. Has anyone tried adding this using parts from an Overland or Summit?
