Based on the tsb, condensation is normal. Puddling of water is a concern.

Spoke to dealer. No new TSB. Still the 20 min rule.

So, the dealership just replaces the whole lamp unit?
I wonder how that fixes the condensation/puddling? It must have a thicker foam around it or sealed a bit better?

There have been several revisions of the design. Who knows what they have changed...

Re: FYI...condensation issue, Chrysler now replaces the headlights under warranty

I think I made enough noise at SRT. $72,000 vehicle. No reason to have moisture in the headlights. Looks like crap.

I have three vehicles with projector headlights. Had ones in the past. I NEVER had moisture.

BS.

Working on replacements now.

Re: FYI...condensation issue, Chrysler now replaces the headlights under warranty

In my constant belief of fair is fair....

I had condensate in my headlights.. Sometimes it would go away, sometimes it wouldn't... When the dealer tried... It went away in 10 and 17 minutes.

I don't think a 70k+ jeep should have water in the headlights.

Knowing there have been "revisions" I called SRT And filed a complaint.

They didn't even flinch. Kudos to SRT.

I am at the dealer now.. Watching them replace my headlights.

I know some have bad experiences and I don't mind with the world we live in with "updates and glitches". As long as I am being taken care of, to me, it part of the ownership experience of having such a "high tech" vehicle.

Just thought I would share.

Do they have to remove the front bumper cover to replace the headlights? I'd be scared they'd bung up the paint. Mine is supposed to be getting them replaced, but I may be getting it bought back anyway for a trans issue.

Re: FYI...condensation issue, Chrysler now replaces the headlights under warranty

I just washed my new GC Laredo for the first time and noticed moisture in both headlights. Not happy. I have bought several new cars and never had an issue with moisture in any of the headlights. I don't consider it normal.

Had my head lamp replaced not for moisture but for a led that was out. Dealer fcuked up both front flares putting the bumper cover back on. Had to order both sides and get them painted. Still waiting g to have them installed.
