FYI...condensation issue, Chrysler now replaces the headlights under warranty

If you got the infamous condensation issue, Chrysler has finally decided to replace the headlights under warranty no question to ask. No more attempting to resolve the issue running the high beam for at least 15 minutes.

My SRT had this problem already from the dealer lot.

The headlights got ordered, should be replaced next week, according to the service manager they cost 3K a pop....true or BS?? He also said that Chrysler did acknowledge that the design was defective and the new ones will be a modified design (and hopefully properly tested)

Other than that, very happy with the rig, 460 miles already, it's a blast.

Good stuff! I got mine replaced but it was more than condensation it was puddling in headlight at times.

Re: FYI...condensation issue, Chrysler now replaces the headlights under warranty

I had one of mine replaced two days after I bought it, but that was back in July 2013. Obviously same issue with the new one. I'm interested to see if they really made a design change.

I'm certain they had at least 2 revisions since October 2013. My replacements haven't even fogged up through the various weather of NC in the past 6 months.

Re: FYI...condensation issue, Chrysler now replaces the headlights under warranty

I haven't seen one that states that fogging of any kind qualifies for replacement. The TSB mentioned above still states that it takes actual water drop condensation in order to get then replaced.

Someone have a link to a TSB that states otherwise?

Question for you CLS. Did you have to take your headlight mod off or did you leave it on when they replaced the lights?
