GC SRT vs RR SVR vs Cayenne Turbo S!

Top gear did a drag race between our beloved GC SRT / RR SVR and Cayenne Turbo S!!

Top Gear SUV drag race

Look at those price tags at 0:37!

GC SRT: GBP 65,995
RR SVR: GBP 95,150
PC Turbo S: GBP 118,455

Results are not surprising, but considering the price difference, its a bit unfair to include the Turbo S. They should have used the Cayenne Turbo and it would have been a closer contest. Also the X5M / GLE63 are missing.

Also, I really really hope this is redone once the trackhawk comes out! Should still be cheaper than the rest.

Anyway, I'm super happy with what I've paid for the GC SRT and what an amazing deal it is!

Autocar did one with the X5M, Jeep and Porsche Turbo S.

X5M dominated both cars.

I've strongly considered current the current X5M. I still am. Unfortunately it will cause problems with customers. Even a base X5 would. Perception is reality.

I agree with you completely. X5M is a beast but I will never be able to have it because of customers.... hopefully hellcat will be even more of a beast!

Are you all saying there are too many mechanical issues on the new x5m?

From my understanding they're fine under warranty. I'd never keep one longer than 4 years anyway

So buy it new for warranty then sell it after 4 years when the price is half? Financially, that logic doesnt impress me. BMW can't keep any resale value especially at that 3-4 year mark. Think I'd rather buy a 3-4 year old x5 then take that hit. All you buying is BMW name inflation if you buy new. Looking now I can get a 2013 for 60k and it was 102k new. 3 years and 42k less. Ouch bro.
