Gloss - Matte - Satin : Aftermarket wheel Finish

What are your opinions on aftermarket wheel finishes?

Thoughts???
-Gloss when clean shines and looks clean
-Matte may hide break dust longer / good contrast to gloss finish of the vehicle / do matte wheels look funny with tires that have been dressed

In my mind I'm leaning towards gloss looking the best but need some pros and cons to the other finish options...

I prefer gloss since it's the easiest to clean.

Re: Gloss - Matte - Satin : Aftermarket wheel Finish

I just think gloss shows off your investment that much more, but I could be persuaded to go with a satin if it's the right wheel and color.

I'm for gloss too bro the brake dust shows a lot worse on Flat wheels turn brown quick.

Re: Gloss - Matte - Satin : Aftermarket wheel Finish

Not a fan of matte finish unless you go with that throughout the whole Jeep as the "theme"...I am ditching the black-chrome spiders for a dark grey/gunmetal metallic finish Goliath's...in my head it looks good...will know in two weeks haha! Also changing brake pads tomorrow, I am tired of these Eco-friendly OEM brembo pads. That should really help with the brake dust, especially in the fronts

I agree with gloss.
Especially with a red or white Jeep. Makes the whole Jeep "pop" in color.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1438830521.713439.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1438830542.516884.jpg I went with a satin finish. Basically right down the middle between gloss and matte. Like everyone said gloss wheels pop and matte wheels hide the finish. Pictures don't do the satin finish justice it's truly amazing in person. And when it's dirty it just looks matte unlike gloss where you can tell it's very dirty

Re: Gloss - Matte - Satin : Aftermarket wheel Finish

Thanks Cary, as you know the wheel only comes in matte unfortunately, so I'll be headed to the powdercoater or painter before mounting the tires. Maybe I'll be happy with the finish but I doubt it.

Thanks all for the input!

Yeah. I know no matter the choice matte/gloss it will look badass. Can't wait to see.

Gloss all the way. Matte is played out like Reebok Pumps, Sprite Clear, and Jheri Curls

What's your color combo on your wheels again?
