Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

I believe that dealers don't care if you buy or lease a car from them, so I'm pretty sure they could also draw up lease terms for you.... Be cautious, leases can be tricky and require a higher credit score than financed purchasing... Read the turn in end of lease provisions, you can get hit up for some pretty high fees .

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

True Market Value, normally refers to an average of what people are actually paying, at least that is my understanding of it, if someone knows more, don't hesitate to correct me

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

I was able to buy my 2015 under invoice here in Scottsdale. Not a huge drive from the San Diego area to save quite a bit of money. If anyone wants the contact here in Scottsdale pm me - I will be away from the computer most of today but back on early evening.... Ron

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

I'll say it again. Please post actual numbers. There are multiple claimed "invoice" prices for the same vehicle. Online invoices are estimates. Some dealers probably have fake invoices.

I've seen the alleged "invoice" vary on a $70k MSRP SRT from $64k to $66k. This entire discussion is worthless without actual numbers being posted. If one of you thinks invoice is $66k on a $70k Jeep and you claim you paid invoice, for others that might have been $1500 over invoice. That's an extreme example but you get the point.

WKJeeps or Edmunds (can't remember which) showed my invoice around $64.5 and the dealer showed me the (alleged) factory invoice which was $65.5 and I had a contact at the dealer. Still not sure what to believe.

I think he was trolling and hasn't come around in the past 10 days. That or the reality hit him that american car dealers don't have as much markup/holdback value to play with compared luxury brands that the OP was posting about.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

I don't think he was a troll, I think he's one of those people who wanted something that he thought was a little more than he wanted to pay or could afford and thought someone should just give it to him for less because he "deserves" it.

Kind of like the countless assholes who contacted me when selling my Shelby a couple weeks back and cried they only had $48k-50k to offer. I told them great, go ask someone for a loan for the rest....

Same shit I went through selling my RS5. That's great that you can buy one in Florida for $55K, highly recommend you jump on that deal and never call me again, lol.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

Edmunds is dead on with their invoice when you build a car. Please note there are 3 amounts that you have to add to your final purchase amount:

- Destination fee (most will list this)
- Fuel charge (did you think your full tank of gas is free? No. You pay for it and most manufacturers just added in but make no mention of it. Ford actually shows their customer the fuel charge)
- ADV .. also known as advertising fee. Yes manufacturers charge you/the buyer for advertising. Go to edmunds and build a JGC SRT and you will see a line item for "Advertising Fee" and that this amount is "Unavailable". Again Ford shows you this amount in the final paperwork.

So your difference between 64.5 and 65.5 is ADV and Fuel. And btw ... the difference between MSRP and invoice is 11% for Jeep. Go build a car in edmunds and the numbers are right in front of you.
