Sales price looks to be $67,800 with an additional $1k discount for financing through dealer. Would be interesting to see if dealer would honor the price on the website, in my experience they usually won't. Someone in the market should call, I would bet that the pricing is a mistake. I have seen this happen more than once, big discount advertised on SRT, when you call you find out that they can't sell SRT that low (typically will honor for all other trim levels). I would consider that a very good deal if it is legit.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

This might help some people. Even the salesman will dispute these because most don't know or well act as though the factory invoice is the same as the dealer invoice.

Cars factory invoice vs dealer invoice

Quote:
Dealer Invoice
The dealer invoice is the price the manufacturer bills the dealer for the vehicles they purchase, plus any options equipped. This is in essence the dealer's cost, and is not generally shared with the customer. All dealerships pay this same general price for a vehicle from the factory, and it does not include any of the individual fees that vary from dealer to dealer.

Factory Invoice
The factory invoice is the total cost to the dealer for a vehicle. This price is the sum of the base invoice or cost for the base model of the car, plus the cost of options, destination fees and manufacturer fees. What many dealerships won't tell you, however, is that this value does not take into account factory incentives that the manufacturer may give to encourage sales.

MSRP
As with most items sold, cars have a manufacturer's suggested retail price. The MSRP is the price the manufacturer suggests that the car dealer should charge for the car. This is not a number set in stone; the dealers can charge truly what they want.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

It is legit. I just bought a 2015 JGC Altitude from the same dealership for a real good price and I was shocked they honored what they posted. And then I checked my paperwork when I got home and they even charged me $200 less.

Did you ask about the SRT when you were there? As I said above, there has been more than one example of the Internet sales price not being honored for the SRT line only. There are a few active threads about pricing still being inconsistent between dealers on the SRTs. No issues on the other trim levels. Your comment about the Altitude price probably proved my point. Perhaps one of the people looking for a new one will see this post and let us know the result of the inquiry.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

I came to my SRT from a 2014 ML63 AMG. The ML was plastered inside with high quality leather everywhere. On the track the ML was slightly faster but My SRT is much more fun to drive everywhere, even on the track. I love it. I'm crossing my fingers for a Hellcat Jeep.

If they sell this vehicle at this price, someone should jump on it! I paid $71,600 for the same exact vehicle all options identical.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

FYI ... I emailed and ask about the SRT and they said they will honor that price.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

Just something I've noticed. There seems to be a point at which people are more hesitant on the Jeep. I've noticed that much greater deals can be had on either the stripped models (No Pano or HK) and on the fully equipped models (Sepia, etc.). When I bought my Jeep the Sepia models were stuck on the lot much longer, I could have had a Sepia for the same price as my non-Sepia.

I'm curious of the Vapor model loaded is above what the market will bear for an SRT Jeep. At some point or another there is a maximum price the market will support for a given model. At this point, additional features don't matter. I'm not sure an $80k Jeep is viable. Sure some loyal SRT guys will buy it, but will there be enough orders to justify it. Hellcats are already being bought at invoice and below invoice. I think there is a price barrier on the Chrysler products and the huge discounts on higher end SRT Jeeps seems to confirm it. Look no further than the Viper. It was a complete flop until Chrysler lowered the price $15k. Now they're selling.

Just food for thought. Not sure if I communicated that well.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

I think it's the red seats and not the price so much. I would have liked the vapor, but the red seats just didn't go with the vehicle for me.
I've sat in the Sepia and the Red seats and the red ones seemed uncomfortable as well. Again....Personal experience and taste.
