Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

Hello, I'm new to Jeep, never owned one before.

I live in the Seattle area and with my wife yesterday we did test drive the 2015 Grand Cherokee SRT.

We loved the tech, the practicality and the engine, a bit disappointed about the fit and finish.

The specimen has the panoramic roof and the SRT audio option, total MSRP is 68685 (invoice 65033) + destination)

I would like to offer 55-57K initially and not going over 60...feasible??

What is the reliability of these things, especially in the long run?? Years ago I swore I was not going to buy again another Chrysler product.

Thank you!

Doubt youll get it below invoice....$55-57k is crazy and dealer would lose $8-10k.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

I'm sitting at 37,000 miles since October 2013. The reliability & practicality has been spectacular so far. (in terms of this being a performance SUV)

I would shoot for paying nothing above invoice. I think 2-5% below invoice is fair.

Is this a serious question?? What world have you lived in where you can get a brand new vehicle on a dealer lot, with no rebates available, for $5k-$10k under invoice??

They'll laugh at you. They'll LOSE almost $3k-$8k hahaha.

I always buy my cars significantly under invoice even supposedly hot sellers....in September our Infiniti Q50 Sport fully loaded had an MSRP of almost 56K and I got it for 47.....no official incentives.

In the past I got my wife's STI on order from the factory for under invoice.

I'm not going to buy a Chrysler product at or above invoice.

Re: Grand Cherokee SRT offer...

Edit. $500 below Invoice is doable

My wife has a 2014 ML Mercedes and for the most part fit and finish is on par with SRT Jeep. The Jeep interior is much nicer and more ergonomic.

If you aren't here to get a rise I will give you an honest answer. You've said enough already to convince me that the SRT Jeep is not for you. If you didn't come away impressed feeling the Jeep is worth its' asking price then walk away. Don't buy it, you won't be happy with it.

True...but this concept backfired for me on real estate years ago when we first started house shopping. Very quickly real estate agents won't work with you anymore because it's a waste of their time. Also, if you're looking at new homes and there are only a few approved builders in the area they will stop responding to your offers.

Not saying this applies to the car world, but just food for thought...

I doubt you'll get below invoice but let us know how they respond to your offer.

If you are a USAA member you can get it haggle free at invoice.
