Typical no research auto mag journalism. If they did any research they would know that the luxury package was a forced option in 2012 that is now part of the base for 13. The option package was almost 5k so the apples to apples comparison results in a much smaller increase.

We had all better get ready for a steep price hike if there is a limited edition, more powerful engine offered. I just can't see them keeping the price where it is at today when all the pricing action to date indicate that they believe they will sell at a higher price premium.

Agree with you Milous. I've said it many times, I like my Jeep and plan to keep it for a while unless things start going wrong left and right (even if under warranty)...but I would never pay more than the $58,600 that I did, and sure as hell isn't a $65-70k vehicle.

I am guessing the SC version coming later will be $80k+. Not because they need that for profit + covered costs, but just because they think "they can". Similar to their prices now, where they are simply price gouging.

Wow! I have been working overseas for over 6 years now, all the time while waiting for when I will return home and buy a new SRT. At 40K the SRT was a great deal, now, at almost 70, and with the 2014 looking to be North of 70K, I just don't know if I can part with that much money. While I was home on break, I picked up a high mileage 2005 Limited 5.7L and holding on to that and running the balls out if it is looking better and better. :)

there are no more 2012 builds. 2013 have started.

Is that 400 of each in addition to the already planned 3500 bumping total production to 4400????
Not in addition to... "3500" was/is just an estimate that I came up with a couple months back, the actual numbers could end up being more, or less.

Also, just noticed that the reflection of the Vapor edition in the picture above is of the Alpine edition :)
Nice catch!

I haven't read every thread on this, but have we picked up on the Star Wars Imperial logo in the background? I feel like no. But it's either the "Vader" edition or I've missed the bus. Or there's a copyright suit coming.

If anyone in the U.S. is looking to get An Alpine edition get a hold of Pat, he will deliver anywhere in the country at a price you will be more than pleased with (same with any other Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler model).

In the 10+ years I have been hanging around message boards and assembling Jeep web sites, I have only run across a few sales consultants that I could 100% trust and 100% recommend. Pat is one of those and gets my highest recommendation.
