I don't believe they jacked my engine up at all. But apparently there is a ton of shit to remove to get to them. My dealership has an aftermarket parts installer there and that's all he does. He does fantastic work, very meticulous. I think they charged me 16 hours as well. Worth every penny in my book after hearing some of the horror stories here about guys trying to save a buck on installs.

Re: GT Haus Meinschaft Exhaust for 2014 Wk2 Review

I have a legitimate question for you header guys. I'm not trolling, so don't get your panties in a wad.

Why are you doing them? So far from everything I've read there have been no legitimate gains with headers or the Trinity, particularly on the 2014. In real world testing, the header guys have actually been slower. Now the same can be said for exhaust. However, I'm curious if you all really care about performance or is the sound worth the $$$ to you?

For me, I've got enough sound with the exhaust system. For me to add headers I'm going to want some serious RWHP gain like other brands seem to get. When I go to the track I want to see tangible difference. With the 40-50 promised RWHP from a header/exhaust setup I would say for damn sure you should notice it. a 75HP shot of NOS netted serious gains on a 2014.

I've seriously considered headers, but if I am going to spend $800+ for just the install I want to know I'm getting more than just sound.

Try $1500-$2000 for install of headers.

I am getting them installed for 500 bucks. I'm not planning on getting immediate power from it. But then combined with my plans for the future will add some decent power.

Re: GT Haus Meinschaft Exhaust for 2014 Wk2 Review

Well my GTHaus shipped and will be here Friday. Sadly though I leave for Asia Saturday morning for 2 weeks so I'll have to wait until I return to install it.

I'm excited but at the same time worried. I love the sound of my exhaust. Open mode I know the GT will be vicious but I have my doubts about closed. My current custom setup sounds better than anything else I've heard to date on the 6.4L in person. I haven't heard the GTHaus in person so I can't comment. 2 fricken weeks!

In other news my custom setup is for sale. I have it posted on the other site. I can't post it here until I get it taken off and can hold my screen name up to it. Unless I can just snap a pic with the exhaust still on it...

You will not see any gain it's more of a "I'm ready and waiting for a FI or a serious build down the road everything I can do right now is done" Most IMO are doing it for sound right now since the gain is minimal to none at best.

Now depending on who is tuning your truck and honestly unless your going back and forth with a tuner or hitting a dyno anything we do right now is not the most you can get out of your mod's and that's if tuning even allows for larger gains at this point.

I have a fully done Jeep LT and full exhaust working with a tuner and he has found some valuable things out about the software available today and says he will let me know what he can do to either see large gains or minimal gains at this point.

Re: GT Haus Meinschaft Exhaust for 2014 Wk2 Review

Some of you are wondering which you should buy. I myself have owned the S-Type and liked it, this was the first time hearing the ATAK up close. It's great! nice and aggressive.

I'm still more a fan of my GT Haus Meisterschaft though, it's like I have the ATAK when Ia m in closed open mode and then I can unleash the hounds of hell in open valve mode.

This isn't a which is better, this is simple which is right for you. Hope these help you decide!

Borla ATAK in black. GT Haus Meisterschaft in white. (closed valve)

Borla ATAK in black. GT Haus Meisterschaft in white. (open valve)

A quick acceleration note for both.. (dusty road so not a speed demo)

My blog post about these if interested can be read here.
