I wonder if I would run into similar problems in California?
I am going to put my Gthaus plans on hold until I find out. Maybe the headers have something to do with it because I keep hearing how the exhaust is not loud until you wot it. I read it is quieter then stock while cruising.

I'm sure headers make it quite a bit deeper sounding.

Re: GT Haus Meinschaft Exhaust for 2014 Wk2 Review

strict is an understatement, why cant cars have freedom of speech as well lol....

we pay the highest taxes and living costs and we cant even put a nice exhaust note out of our car, i feel sorry for my son when he is old enough to mod his first car, they will make using a non genuine oil a hoon law, when do we get to the point of saying enough is enough and fight back, dont pay fines and dont pay car registration ,
we always have our hands in our pockets paying fukin fees and taxes and what do we get in return... less rights, more restrictions and zero choice.

it falls under the EPA, how the fuk does a slightly louder exhaust damage the environment ?

I'm wondering when America is going to get to the point of fighting back on everything with our government. You might have issues with your exhaust but we have some very scary shit going down in our country that you don't even want to know and may not even believe if you were told. The world is moving to quickly now for people to be held down be rules and laws. Especially stupid ones like exhaust sounds, that's just being treated like a slave. Tell the officer next time to buy some damn ear plugs and go solve a rear crime.

-sorry a little rant. I'm just not pleased with the direction of America. I might be joining my international friends some where else in a few years at the rate we are going. When your government has hundreds of full blown FEMA (concentration) camps set up, with hundreds of thousands of plastic coffins, then it's time to think about relocating...

Re: GT Haus Meinschaft Exhaust for 2014 Wk2 Review

Aussie guys - you have to deal with spiders, snakes and other aussie guys trying to mate with your ladies and on all that, no exhaust for you?

So not fair.

When cops are around and I am in open, I put it into auto mode, D rather than S and relax on gas... slowly close the valve.

Also - side note, my exhaust guy checked the valves, he said when opening or closing, you need to hold the button down for 7 seconds, otherwise, it doesn't open or close completely. If you just push once, it opens part way, but not all the way. He took me under the Jeep and showed me.. he was right. Not sure why this is or if it slowly opens fully over the following 30-60 seconds or...

Might have to email GT Haus.. anyone have a contact with them I can talk to?

my exhaust guy said just under powered motors for the valves, thats why it says to service them monthly with some spray. need better motors and for 4k you expect better motors.

block your ears, ohh turn it up as loud as you can
