GTHaus noise, Need adjustment?

Hey guys,

My GTHaus is starting to sound a little "pingy" I am wondering if the valves are mis aligned. It has a strong "ping/rattle" in both modes now where it didn't before.

Is there any tricks to adjusting the valves? Anyone else had this start happening?

Thanks

Jr.

Correct me if I am wrong but I do not think GT Haus incorporates the valves. Have you got underneath and checked to make sure all the connections are tight? Almost sounds like one of the clamps is loose.

The do indeed have electronic valves ( they may actually be sourced from QTP) you can see them in the picture below.

Re: GTHaus noise, Need adjustment?

ok so i finally had time to get out there with a flashlight, and took a stick and touched the butterfly valve. Its loose as shit! I can just tap the exhaust tip with my hand and the butterfly rattles. Any ideas? Is there a place i can tighten that? Gonna have to hit Chad up and see what he says.

Just about 2500 miles on it, and about 3 months. Hopefully something i can adjust myself. Sounds like a 80cc dirt bike and pissing me off. LOL.

Sorry, I meant the actually stock valves for the MDS and not the cutouts.

Re: GTHaus noise, Need adjustment?

I thought the GT Haus eliminates the stock valves...

Re: GTHaus noise, Need adjustment?

The stock valves are gone, but the GTHaus has electronic cutouts at the mufflers. They are a butterfly valve that when closed routes everything through the muffler, but when open allows flow straight through.

By the way think I found a drawing that shows what might be wrong. There are apparently set screws where the butterfly valve mounts to the shaft that spins it. I think these may be loose, but will have to take the whole assembly off to check it. Hopefully i can just tighten them and locktite them. If the set screw is missing its gonna suck.
