Hmmm, no tune. Only difference in what I want to do is the CAI. I'm going with AFE instead.

He was saying 3.8 stock 0-100km (slightly longer than 0-60). I know with mods you can get there....because I run 3.8 0-60's.

C'mon, Scott. You know 3.7 0-60 is rare. Otherwise you wouldn't have had to make a video to prove it to people.

Here's my 3.8.

There is more to speed than the fist 60ft. Those X5M's are doing sub 4 0-60's stock, but trapping 115mph.

No bolton jeep is trapping 115. I'm trapping 109mph with my boltons.

From stock? Or from the canned Diablo tune?

I got a big gain in my 60ft from the Diablo tune. If I launch hard enough, my traction control light will flash. Johan's tune didn't improve on the 60ft, but I picked up more top end. Couple mph in the 1/8th and 1/4.

People seem to have mixed results with the Diablo tunes, but I saw results.

I'm just taking notes..before I pull the trigger on anything. I'm not looking to run a 1/4 mile. I just want to be able to pull almost anything from a redlight and let off at 60. Highway, I'm not looking to run..just city streets from a stop. These are SUVS, so we are limited on top end.

My mixed results are that sometimes the tune messes up and makes my ride inoperable then u have to call diablo support line. Sometimes it doesn't mess up.

Re: Had an encounter with an Explorer Sport

It's funny I just came back to this thread. I had my fair share of humble pie last night on the way to work as I got my ass handed to me by a new x5m. 0 to 60 times you guys are speaking about and how they are close in performance is laughable. I knew I'd lose but man those things move out hard. Guy was real cool. Said he had 4000 miles on it bone stock. Said he's had injector problems so he is scared to mod it. He tailed me after hearing the GT haus roaring. Unfortunately my Jeep had a loud bark but the bite wasn't enough lol. Break down

0-60 run( and I had less then 1/4 tank of fuel which I feel the truck is way more lively), track mode off idle which I feel is quicker than launch. I took the m until about 20-25 my guess, even at 30-35 about and by 60 was about a truck and a half back. Ran it out until around 100mph maybe a little more. I was behind at least 3 lengths and losing ground faster than a French army. Again these are all estimates as it was done quickly so not very scientific I'm afraid. I totally believe 113 traps as I did 103-104 at the track before bone stock. We did two quick roll runs I'm guessing from 40ish. It was pretty bad. That thing pulls like a stock c6 vette I ran honestly. It's fast fast fast.

Made a GTS cayenne I played with seem like a school bus. Regardless, I know they cost a ton and I actuallly think the new x5m looks terrible. Especially from the rear, believe me I had a couple views of it. They squared it off more than the older models and the headlights are blended into the fenders more now too. Terrible actually.

I wonder how the new 5.5 bi turbo ML would do against the m. Amazing what twin turbos on a 4.4l can generate.

Still love my Jeep and think it looks the best and sounds the best with the AMG a close second.

^This.

There is no ML anymore. They've compared the GLE to the X6M (the "coupe" versions of the X5 and GL) and the X6M was still quite a bit faster.

Here's C&D. Motortrend had the same result.

Re: Had an encounter with an Explorer Sport

Also, I was picking my kid up from daycare today. A guy was leaving with his kid and flagged me down.

He said, "Dude this thing is nice! How much did you pay?"

I said, "Thanks. That's between me and the salesman."

Then he went on and said he was looking at one of those Sporty Explorers that was kinda like this. I said, "No. Theyre on a different level. We're talking 350hp in the Explorer. I've got nearly 500hp".

He was surprised. I was laughing in my head thinking about this thread.

But I bet they get amazing gas mileage...that's what you should add. Let him down softly
