Ask about break-in period. Curious to know how many miles they recommend.

Congrats!!!

ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS
A long break-in period is not required for the drivetrain
(engine, transmission, clutch, and rear axle) in your new
vehicle.
Drive moderately during the first 500 mi (800 km). After
the initial 60 mi (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80
or 90 km/h) are desirable.
While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration within the
limits of local traffic laws contributes to a good break-in.
However, wide-open throttle acceleration in low gear can
be detrimental and should be avoided.

Ok, it's here and it's awesome, but..... there seems to be a metallic clattering either under acceleration or over bumps. The good news is that it doesn't seem to be coming from the engine or transmission, but instead from under the steering column. This is really going to suck to have to take it right back to my dealership tomorrow to put in the shop.

Ok.... this kind of crap really upsets me. They hold these cars for a month for "quality control" and the first person to take delivery already hears metallic noises and needs to bring it in the shop? Seriously Chrysler??

Good luck man and congrats on getting her!

My SRT flew through QC and just moved to KZ. Now I'm worried that this kind of 'stuff' will be waiting for me. UConnect problems, I can understand, but 'noises' are just disappointing.

It might be the valves. I heard mine initially. But it either went away or I got use to it.

For what it's worth, I just drove around a bit and didn't hear it this time. We'll see how it does in the morning.
